What does the vote mean for Bald Knob Public Schools?
A vote for means the millage rate stays the same. BK Schools can restructure the bond indebtedness and extend the existing debt mills. BKPS can generate approximately $10,400,000 in project funds to build a new elementary school.
A vote against means the millage rate stays the same. BK Schools cannot issue bonds or generate money for a new elementary school.

This tax rate represents the same tax rate currently being collected. The total proposed school tax levy of 38.50 mills includes 25.0 mills for general maintenance and operation, and 13.50 mills for debt service.
A Vote FOR: will restructure certain outstanding bonded indebtedness , extend the existing debt service mills, generate $10,400,000 in project funds to build a new elementary, and voters will not see any change in their annual millage rate.
A Vote AGAINST: current tax rate stays the same, BKPS will not issue bonds, and BKPS cannot build a new elementary school.
