Tutoring for K-12 Virtual Academy students will begin next Tuesday from 4:30 until 6:30 PM at the Elementary cafeteria. You can drop in as needed for tutoring. Masks will be required.

FREE MEALS FOR VIRTUAL LEARNING STUDENTS:
Order "Meals on Wheels" for next week by tomorrow, October 2nd, at noon. Each student will be provided five (5) FREE meal packs (breakfast and lunch).
On Monday, October 5th, meals will be (1) delivered to your child(ren) at home or (2) picked up at the elementary cafeteria between 9:30-10:00 AM or 1:00-1:30 PM.

Flu Clinic for Students: Informational for Parents:
The White County Health Department will be on campus Thursday, Oct 1st to give flu vaccines to students and staff that return their completed forms. The forms will go home on Monday, September 21st and should be returned by Wednesday, September 23rd to your student's main office.
This year there will be NO mist offered. If you do not want your student to get the vaccine at school, we have been informed that all next week, September 21-25th, the White County Health Department in Searcy will be having a drive up flu shot clinic from 8:00-4:30. Bald Knob Public Schools will have our first remote learning day on September 25, 2020. Although students will not be on campus, they will still have the opportunity to receive breakfast and lunch.
Meals will be delivered via bus route stops; however, bus stops along Highway 167 will be delivered at Bald Knob North Water, New Bethel General Baptist Church, Velvet Ridge Church of God, Weco Industries (end of Byrd Road and Highway 167), and Peacock Road.
For those who do not ride a bus route, please pick up meals-to-go at the elementary cafeteria from 10:00-11:00 AM September 25, 2020.

Did you hear the exciting news?
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the opportunity for schools to serve free meals to all students through the fall months. Please encourage your child(ren) to participate. Not only is this opportunity a tremendous benefit for all students regardless of income level, the school also benefits through a greater reimbursement rate for each meal served.
Students in grades K-12 will be served breakfast and lunch daily before school in each cafeteria. In addition, students in Grades 6-12 can participate in a "Second Chance Breakfast" each morning at 9:10 AM (MS Library and HS Commons).

Bald Knob Public Schools has been advised by the National Weather Service in North Little Rock that severe weather including torrential rain and wind gusts in excess of 50 miles per hour can be expected in our area after 3:00 pm this afternoon.
For the safety of our students and staff, the district will dismiss early today.
Students will be dismissed as reflected below:
- K-5 car riders will be dismissed at 1:50 p.m.
- K-5 bus riders will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m.
- K-5 walkers will be dismissed at 1:48 p.m.
- K-5 hikers will be dismissed at 2:05 p.m.
- Grades 6-12 students will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m.
All school and district offices will close at 3:00 p.m.

For returning students, there will be a virtual open house on August 20th to provide you with information and give you a glimpse of your new teachers. This will be posted to the district website and social media. HAC will be available tomorrow morning for you to view your schedules. There are still some changes being made, so this may not be your final schedule. For those that would like a hard copy schedule prior to receiving one on Monday, you may pick it up at the front office of your school on Friday. No schedule changes will be made at this time. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your schedule, you will need to call the front office or send an email. Please follow the schedule below to help lessen the congestion:
Middle School: 8:00-10:00 7th grade students 10:00-12:00 8th grade students.
High School: 8:00-9:30 10th grade students 9:30-11:00 11th grade students and 11:00-12:00 Seniors

Virtual Academy Open House: August 20
Parents and students that are participating in our Virtual Academy option will need to attend a meeting at one of the following times: 4:00, 5:30, or 7:00 PM. K-5 students will be in the elementary cafeteria. Students in grades 6-12 will be in the HS cafeteria. At this time, you will receive your chromebook, school supplies, login information, and schedule. There will also be a session to help support you navigating the Buzz Learning Management System and the Lincoln Learning online curriculum.

Reminder: Open House for students entering Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade, as well as students that are new to the district, will be tomorrow from 5:00-7:00PM. At this time, they will receive their schedules. We hope to see you there!
