The annual Blessings from BK event brought the Bald Knob School District together to raise funds to benefit local families in need of food. This year, the district introduced a friendly competition among the school buildings to see which could raise the most money. All proceeds were directed toward the local Christmas Angels Program, which provides support to families during the holiday season.
To add to the excitement, for every $100 raised, a teacher volunteered to take a pie to the face! In addition, Dr. Davis, the superintendent, agreed to take a pie from the winning building. However, in a show of great sportsmanship, he allowed all the buildings to pie him in the end.
The results of the competition were inspiring: the elementary school raised an impressive $1026, the middle school raised $691, and the high school raised over $800. Once all the bills were officially tallied, the total amount raised by the district exceeded $2800– the largest sum ever achieved for this event!
We are incredibly proud of our staff, students, and the entire community for coming together to make this year’s Blessings from BK an unforgettable success.
