Election information

On November 5th, voters in Bald Knob will be asked to vote on the Bald Knob School Millage 38.50 Mill School Tax. This tax rate represents the same tax rate currently being collected. The total proposed school tax levy of 38.50 mills includes 25.0 mills for general maintenance and operation, and 13.50 mills for debt service.

A Vote FOR: will restructure certain outstanding bonded indebtedness , extend the existing debt service mills, generate $10,400,000 in project funds to build a new elementary building, and voters will not see any change in their annual millage rate.

A Vote AGAINST: current tax rate stays the same, BKPS will not issue bonds, and BKPS cannot build a new elementary school.

Whether you vote FOR or AGAINST the School Millage Tax, the current millage rate of 38.50 will remain 38.50. PROPOSED PROJECTS: Build and equip a new elementary building and relocate power lines underground.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th.
